This book is the first publication in Czech to address all aspects of this late phase of the crusades. It brings together contributions by fifteen historians from France, the Czech Republic, and other European countries. Their studies take the reader to a wide range of battlefields across Europe and the Mediterranean, as well as to places where the crusading idea was debated with equal intensity.
The volume incorporates campaigns against the Hussites into the history of the late crusades and also examines the Bohemian contribution to diplomatic efforts aimed at addressing the Ottoman threat during the reign of George of Poděbrady.
