This publication documents the origins and architectural development of twenty-eight ecclesiastical monuments—churches and large chapels—and examines the influence of individual architectural styles on their present appearance in the Sedlčany region. The volume is accompanied by colour photographs of these sacred monuments by the photographer Mgr Martin Stecker, which highlight the often remarkably beautiful and sensitively executed details found within their distinctive interiors.
