The book examines the role of preaching within the so-called Bohemian reform movement between approximately 1360 and 1420. It traces the methods used for the interpretation and dissemination of the Word of God and explores their significance for the formulation of the reform programme. Through an analysis of the Latin university sermons of Master Jakoubek of Stříbro, the study investigates the construction of homiletic texts and the working tools employed by Hussite masters in their interpretation of the Bible.
