The long-awaited companion volume to the Encyclopaedia of Bohemian Monasteries has been compiled by a large collective of leading specialists who have long been engaged with the subject and—apart from a single author and the coordinator—are based in Moravia. The text, in addition to several more extensive introductory studies, is organised into individual encyclopaedic entries arranged by locality and is accompanied by a wealth of illustrations, including contemporary representations as well as modern photographs, plans, and the heraldic emblems of religious orders.
